We are currently recruiting for a dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Congleton. This is a full-time, ongoing position, offering the opportunity to teach in a well-resourced department committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and creative English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards of teaching and learning.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching English within a UK secondary school.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
- Is passionate about inspiring a love of English and literature.
- Has strong communication and organisational skills.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
