Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Helping with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
- Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Following individual care plans accurately to meet each client's specific needs
- Maintaining clear communication with colleagues, clients, and their families regarding care routines and progress
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good organisational skills to follow care plans effectively
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
