About the Role
We are a small, family-run business specialising in innovative ride-on golf scooters. We are looking for a practical, hands-on Workshop Technician to support the assembly, servicing, and day-to-day running of our workshop.
This is a varied role ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving technical problems, and supporting a growing business. An interest in golf is a bonus, but not necessary.
Key responsibilities
- Assembling FliCart ride-on golf scooters using hand tools and workshop equipment
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Diagnosing and fault-finding mechanical and basic electrical issues
- Checking-in deliveries and managing stock and inventory
- Packing and preparing products for dispatch
- Supporting customers with technical enquiries
- Following standard operating procedures and quality checks
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Using appropriate PPE at all times
- Supporting general ad-hoc tasks to help the business operate smoothly
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar technical, mechanical, or workshop environment
- Confident using hand tools for manual assembly
- Basic soldering skills
- Practical fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable speaking with customers and explaining technical matters clearly
- Able to follow procedures accurately and consistently
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, self-motivated, and organised
- Willing to work flexibly as part of a small team
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with small electric vehicles, scooters, bikes, or mobility equipment
- Stock control or warehouse experience
- Experience in a small business environment
- Driving license and vehicle
