We are seeking an experienced Registered Pharmacist or Registered Nurse (RGN) to lead a focused clinical safety and medication governance improvement project across a portfolio of complex-care supported living services.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinical professional to take ownership of a defined improvement project, providing clinical oversight, identifying areas of risk and implementing sustainable improvements to medication management and wider clinical safety.
The Role
You will work closely with operational and care teams to review current medication practices, identify gaps and risks, and put robust systems and processes in place to improve safety, compliance and quality of care.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting medication reviews and clinical audits across supported living services.
- Identifying medication-related risks, gaps and areas requiring immediate improvement.
- Reviewing and strengthening medication management systems, processes and documentation.
- Providing clinical guidance to managers and care teams.
- Supporting staff with medication competency, training and best practice.
- Reviewing incidents, errors and trends and identifying appropriate corrective actions.
- Strengthening clinical governance and medication oversight.
- Working collaboratively with management teams to implement and embed improvements.
- Developing sustainable processes to ensure improvements are maintained beyond the project.
- Providing regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
About You
We are looking for an experienced clinician who can operate confidently across both clinical and operational environments.
You must be:
- A Registered Pharmacist or Registered Nurse (RGN).
- Experienced in medication management, clinical governance or medication safety.
- Confident conducting audits, reviews and identifying clinical risk.
- Experienced in supporting and developing care teams.
- Able to analyse incidents and implement practical improvements.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of a project.
- Strong in communication, documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- Able to work constructively with operational teams while maintaining appropriate clinical standards.
Experience within supported living, complex care, learning disabilities, mental health or social care would be highly desirable.
