Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our garment manufacturing team on a maternity cover basis. In this vital role, you will ensure that all garments meet our high-quality standards through meticulous inspection and analysis. Your keen eye for detail, combined with your strong understanding of quality assurance processes, will help maintain our reputation for excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of premium garments while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough visual and functional inspections of garments at various stages of production to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Checking stitching, measurements, fabric quality, trims, labels and overall garment appearance.
- Identify, record and report defects or quality issues.
- Analyse inspection data and report findings accurately, highlighting trends or recurring issues that require corrective action.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns promptly and effectively, supporting continuous process improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Assist in developing and updating quality control checklists and standard operating procedures to enhance inspection accuracy.
- Support training initiatives by sharing best practices in quality assurance and analysis skills with team members.
Experience
- Previous experience in garment quality inspection or similar quality control role within the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, measurements and quality standards
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data and identify root causes of quality issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify defects accurately.
- Familiarity with quality assurance standards, testing methods, and inspection tools used in textile or apparel production.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication.
- Basic record keeping and reporting skills.

Pay: £13.21 per hour
