Taylored Lets is a well-established and expanding lettings agency based in Wallsend. We are looking for a motivated, organised and customer-focused individual to join our friendly and professional team as an Assistant Property Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the property management industry. Previous property management experience is welcome but not essential, as full training, ongoing support and opportunities for professional development will be provided.
The Role
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of our residential property portfolio, helping to provide an efficient and professional service to landlords and tenants.
You will work closely with the Property Management team to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard, tenant enquiries are dealt with promptly, and inspections, repairs, compliance and general property management matters are effectively coordinated.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of residential properties
- Responding to landlord and tenant enquiries and providing a high standard of customer service
- Completing routine property inspections and preparing detailed inspection reports
- Conducting check-in and check-out appointments
- Preparing and completing property inventories, including detailed written descriptions and photographic records
- Conducting empty property and vacant property checks to ensure properties remain secure, clean and well maintained
- Identifying maintenance, repair, damage and potential compliance issues during property inspections and empty property checks
- Coordinating repairs and maintenance issues with landlords, tenants and contractors
- Liaising with contractors to arrange and monitor maintenance works
- Following up outstanding repairs and ensuring works are progressed within appropriate timescales
- Supporting the management of tenant maintenance requests
- Assisting with tenancy administration, including tenancy renewals, notices and associated documentation
- Managing utility notifications and related administration
- Maintaining accurate property, tenancy, inspection and maintenance records
- Assisting with property compliance and ensuring relevant documentation is kept up to date
- Arranging contractor access and coordinating appointments
- Assisting landlords with property-related queries and providing updates where required
- Arranging and attending property viewings where required
- Taking property photographs and assisting with property listings
- Assisting with the preparation of properties for new tenancies
- Undertaking general office administration and property management duties
- Assisting with additional duties as required to support the continued growth of the business

Desirable
- Previous experience in property management, lettings, estate agency, administration, facilities management or customer service
- Knowledge or understanding of the residential property sector
- Experience conducting property inspections or inventories
- Experience dealing with contractors or maintenance issues
- Understanding of residential tenancy processes

Working Hours
Three days per week, with working days to be agreed with the successful candidate.
The role is primarily office-based in Wallsend, with property inspections, empty property checks, inventories, contractor visits, viewings and other duties carried out at properties as required.
