About the Role
Reporting to the Immigration and Compliance Manager, the Employee Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring Avery Healthcare meets its statutory employment obligations while providing an outstanding colleague experience.
You will be responsible for managing and monitoring ongoing employment compliance across the Avery Healthcare Group, with a particular focus on:

Right to Work compliance

Sponsorship and UKVI compliance

DBS renewals
-
Visa monitoring and renewals
-
Employment audits and risk management
-
Stakeholder advice, guidance and training
Working closely with Home Administrators, Home Managers, Regional Directors and the wider People Team, you will act as a trusted compliance expert, helping to protect Avery's Sponsor Licence, minimise risk and ensure our employment records remain accurate, compliant and audit-ready.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines technical compliance expertise with strong relationship-building skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Essential Experience & Skills:

Proven experience managing employment compliance, including Right to Work and DBS processes

Up-to-date knowledge of UK immigration legislation and sponsorship requirements

Excellent IT skills and data management capability

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

Ability to travel to various Avery locations when required
Desirable Experience:

Experience administering sponsored employees
-
Experience using the UKVI Sponsor Management System (SMS)

Knowledge of sponsorship extensions and visa administration processes
