This role will suit someone who has already worked in retail and who is already in, or is now ready to move up into a more supervisorial position. The rate of pay will be commensurate with level of experience. It is a FULL TIME role with a minimum of 35 hours per week.
As a Team Leader, your primary focus will be to:
- Offer an excellent level of customer engagement through offering advice, recommendations and assistance.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene within the store.
- Support and work effectively with your colleagues.
- Continually work in a sales driven manner to achieve targets.
- Drive the team to develop in-store knowledge, skills and confidence and process.
- Support the other Team Leaders and store manager .
Typical Duties:
- Keyholding...opening and closing of the store
- Greeting and serving customers.
- Cash handling.
- Stock merchandising
- Assisting customers with their purchases and providing product knowledge..
- Stock rotation.
- Pricing control
- Supporting all departments within the store.
- Receiving deliveries and completing paperwork required.
- Maintaining the highest standards throughout.
- Internal training.
- Supporting management function.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- At least one years previous experience in a convenience retail position.
- Proven customer service excellence.
- Determination to drive sale.
- IT Skills.
- Knowledge of legal requirements and procedures will be given in online training.
- Capability to motivate and guide team daily.
- Support to deliver and train new people.
- Deadline focused.
- Flexible within working hours.
- Ability to support store owner when not on site and act in a professional manner.
- Strong communicator.
- Competent to work well under pressure.
- A real passion for excellent customer service.
- An enthusiasm for retailing
- Relevant retail experience.
- A keen interest in developing a career within the trade.
