Job Summary
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team to cover Maternity leave. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by taking booking requests both in person and via phone and email.
This position requires experience in Word and Excel, as well as good clerical skills. The Office Administrator will be responsible for data entry and providing excellent phone etiquette while supporting the overall efficiency of the office environment.
The role is for 3 days per week during the Maternity cover period, possibly leading on to a Part time role once the Maternity cover has ended
Duties
- Manage daily office operations and ensure a welcoming environment for visitors and customers.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently to maintain up-to-date records.
- Maintain an organised filing system for both physical and digital documents.
- Answer phone calls professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with clerical duties such as typing correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
- Support team members with administrative tasks as required to enhance productivity.
- Dealing with email enquiries
- Booking jobs in our system
- Must be comfortable with using a computer
- Must have knowledge in using Word, Excel etc.
- WE DO NOT REQUIRE WORK EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE WASTE INDUSTRY SECTOR AS LONG AS YOU ARE A QUICK LEARNER OR YOU ARE WILLING TO LEARN HOW OUR COMPANY OPERATES
Qualifications
- Experience in Excel /Word etc is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively over the phone with good phone etiquette.
- Competence in using office equipment such as printers, scanners, and computers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 27.0 per week

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
