We are looking to recruit a Merchandiser to join our Merchandising department. As Merchandiser you will be an integral part of the Merchandise function where you will assist with the planning of a core strategy to enable Cleland McIver to sell a range of products that delivers sales and profit targets.
Duties
- Accurate forecasting of skus 6- 9 months forward, reviewing no less frequently than fortnightly within the designated product range based on trend/sales analysis
- Ensure data held in forecasting system is up to date and accurate.
- Target customer service levels to be met and recovery plans implemented where required
- Maximise on sales opportunities through driving additional volume into stores at key event periods and clearing overstocks where possible working towards relevant target KPI.
- Agreeing new launch estimates twice yearly with the Merchandise manager, and customer. Placing orders for the season accordingly
- Attend weekly critical path meetings with the technical team to ensure sealing is on track, and shipment requested for initial orders can be achieved.
- Liaising with the logistics team to aid with the planning of intake/ distribution of newness.
- Place orders with the mill in a timely manner, adhering to lead times given, to ensure that customer delivery requirements are met. Orders placed by either sea or air freight depending on delivery time scales.
- Regular communication with the supply base including on site/ teams meetings where required to maintain expected levels of service.
- Management of the supply base to ensure that all deliveries arrive at the specified time, being fully aware of any delays or stock shortages. Liaise with customer as and when required.
Skills
- Experienced at making decisions independently where necessary and accepting responsibility for those decisions.
- Strong organisational skills to effectively manage multiple deadlines.
- To take the Merchandise lead in your category meetings held with the customer.
- Proven strong analytical and numerical skills
- Advanced excel skills, ability to manipulate data and build reports
- Knowledge of forecasting systems
- Experienced in communicating with suppliers, customers, line managers, peer groups and supporting departments through excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to establish, develop and maintain supplier and customer relationships with professionalism
- Established decision making skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workload accordingly
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment to quickly identify opportunities, problems and recommend solutions
- Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and demands
Pay: £31,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
