Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
- Manage materials efficiently, including mixing paints and selecting appropriate tools for each task.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment during and after completion of projects.
- Assist in the planning and execution of decorating projects from start to finish.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting or related decorating roles.
- Ability to operate various painting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English to liaise with clients and team members clearly.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation between sites.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure precise application of finishes.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
