As a Sales Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face that makes customers feel at home. Whether someone’s picking up their weekly essentials or popping in for something special, you’ll play a key role in delivering the warm, knowledgeable service Cranstons is known for.

About the Role
- Hours: 0 - 32 hours, we are open to full time and part time applicants, temporary until December 2026
- Start times: From 6am to 9am, finishing between 3pm to 6pm
- A varied and rewarding role: You will be working throughout the various departments helping customers, keeping our counters, shelves and fridges topped up and helping to serve our locally famous hot counter goodies.
- You will be trained to cook off our pies, breakfast and lunches
- Keep the shop floor looking its best - clean, stocked and inviting
- Share knowledge and top tips with our customers to help them make great shopping choices.
- A love of good food is essential! Our team takes pride in offering top-quality produce and excellent service to our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Helping customers with queries, assisting them in finding what they need in store and making suggestions
- Slicing our cooked meats, keeping our counters topped up, and being involved in our cook off process
- Keeping our shop floor well stocked and tidy, ensuring customers have a wide choice of our own range products and other local producers
- Handle and unload deliveries
- Work as part of a close-knit team to keep the store clean, well-ordered, and welcoming
What You’ll Need
- Ideally you will have experience in a customer focused role, but we are looking for someone with a positive attitude who can work well with our wider team
- Previous cooking experience is a postive, but again we are able to train you up on these processes.
- A friendly and approachable communication style with colleagues and customers.
- A passion for great food and excellent customer service.
