Echo Managed Services and its subsidiary Aptumo support water companies globally to deliver effective customer service and drive retail operation efficiency through end to end customer service and water billing software offerings.
The Role:
As a Payment Processing Advisor, you will be a part of the Billing, Collections, and Recoveries department where you shall be responsible for handling a variety of payment processing and financial administration tasks, ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
This role is initially a 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract.
Key Responsibilities:

Process and allocate customer payments accurately and efficiently.

Handle cash, cheques, and remittances through both manual and electronic systems.

Respond to customer payment enquiries via telephone and written correspondence.

Process customer refund payments.
-
Complete cash and bank reconciliations.

Produce and support financial reporting activities.

Maintain and update departmental spreadsheets and records.

Carry out scanning, indexing, and triaging activities.

Meet individual and team performance targets, SLAs, and quality standards.

Ensure customer queries are resolved promptly and effectively, aiming for first-time resolution wherever possible.

Build positive relationships with customers and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve operational and customer service objectives.

Actively support business values, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Comply with all company policies regarding data protection, information security, and health & safety.
What You’ll Need:
Experience
-
Previous experience working in a payment processing environment.
-
At least six months' experience in a cash office environment is desirable.
Skills & Knowledge

Strong numerical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and solve problems effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Proven ability to provide excellent customer service.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications

GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.

A relevant professional qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
