Fancy learning a luxury brand from the inside out — shop floor to boardroom?
Job summary: Learn a luxury brand from both sides — shop floor and back office — in a hands-on, full-time role with real room to grow.
Here at Elliot Rhodes we do things differently — we're the only brand specialised in designing and retailing luxurious, bespoke belts, handcrafted in our own Spanish atelier. We started in a single Covent Garden store back in 2004 where we still have our flagship store; today you'll find our stores in Japan, available in in Harrods, selling around the world, and we're only getting started.
Most retail jobs put you on one side of the counter for good — sales, or supply chain, or e-commerce, and that's your career mapped out. We're offering something different.
What's the job?
This is a permanent, full-time role, and it's built on the shopfloor first: 3 days a week in-store with our retail team, based in our Covent Garden store, and 2 days a week in the office getting properly stuck into the business behind the scenes — helping us manage suppliers, imports, run our website, and the operational engine that makes the brand run. You'll see how a sale in-store connects all the way back to a decision made with a supplier months earlier, and everything in between.
To be clear — this is a retail role at heart, with real depth added on top. If the idea of spending a good chunk of your week on a shopfloor doesn't excite you, this isn't the one.
Who are we looking for?
Someone who wants a genuine career in fashion and retail, not just a job — and who's curious enough to want to understand a business from every angle rather than staying in one lane. But first and foremost, someone who loves retail itself: the product in your hands, a customer in front of you, the buzz of getting it right in the moment. Everything else we do only makes sense once you've fallen for that. You'll also need to be properly comfortable with computers and online systems — confident in Excel, and quick to pick up platforms like Shopify (no coding needed, we'll train you on our systems specifically, but you need the kind of brain that isn't fazed by a new piece of software). Could suit a graduate looking for a real, hands-on route into the industry, but a degree isn't a requirement — what matters more is appetite, sharpness, and the willingness to learn by doing.
What do we want you to do?
Learn it properly, both halves — starting with the floor. There, you'll deliver the same faultless, personal service our clients expect from us, and genuinely fall in love with it, because that's where this brand lives and breathes. Alongside that, you'll get real exposure to how we source and import leather and components, how our supplier relationships work, and how our website and online business run day to day — with a genuine hand in improving all of it as you find your feet.
Why would you want to join us?
Because we're a 20+ year old brand that still runs like a small, hungry business — no hierarchy, no politics, and a real say in how things get done. And because we're thinking about the next chapter: as some of our long-serving team eventually start to step back a little, we want to bring someone in now who can grow into understanding — and eventually helping run — more of the business. There's no guarantee of any particular path, but there's a genuine one to be shaped by the right person.
