Support Worker – Supported Living
Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire
£12.71 per hour (approx. £33,000 per year based on full-time hours)
Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week including evenings, weekends & sleep-in shifts)
About Us
You & Me Supported Living provides high-quality supported living services for adults with a range of learning disabilities. We operate 14 homes across Oxfordshire and Warwickshire, with 3–4 individuals living in each.
Our teams provide 24/7 support, empowering the people we support to live fulfilling, independent lives in their own homes and communities.
About the Role
We’re looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team in our Chipping Norton homes.
You’ll support our housemates with day-to-day living, helping them build independence and enjoy meaningful activities. No two days are the same—your role could include:
- Supporting with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal organisation
- Encouraging and accompanying housemates to activities such as:
- Social visits
- Shopping trips
- Cinema outings
- Gym sessions
- College or work
- Holidays and day trips
- Providing 1:1 support tailored to individual needs and preferences
- Following personalised support plans to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
- Building positive relationships with housemates and their families
We’re looking for someone who brings energy, positivity, empathy and a good sense of humour—someone our housemates will genuinely enjoy spending time with.
Training & Development
Full training is provided, including:
- Online training modules
- Shadow shifts with experienced staff
- Opportunities to gain formal qualifications through our apprenticeship programme
About You
You will be:
- Friendly, flexible, and enthusiastic
- A strong communicator (written and verbal)
- Confident working independently and using your initiative
- Experienced in supporting adults with learning disabilities (preferred)
- A driver with a full UK licence (preferred)
- Passionate about helping people live independent, fulfilling lives
- Empathetic and able to support individuals in sensitive or challenging situations
- Willing to take part in a wide range of activities
