HGV Class 2 Grab Driver – Gloucester
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Grab Driver to join our growing team based in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver who takes pride in delivering outstanding service while operating grab vehicles safely and efficiently.
As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering aggregates, soils, waste materials, and construction products to commercial and residential sites across Gloucester and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) Grab Lorry.
- Carry out deliveries and collections to customer sites.
- Operate the grab crane efficiently and safely.
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment checks.
- Complete all required delivery paperwork and digital records accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all road transport legislation, company policies, and health & safety procedures.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards when interacting with clients and site personnel.
- Keep vehicles clean, roadworthy, and well-presented.
- Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
RequirementsEssential
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience operating a Grab Lorry.
- Good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations.
- Strong health and safety awareness.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
