At WOLFFKRAN, precision, reliability, and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of financial accounting and reporting for our US entity.
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong US GAAP expertise, month-end close experience, and a passion for driving financial accuracy in a dynamic international environment. You’ll work closely with group finance teams, external auditors, tax consultants, and senior leadership to ensure robust reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement across finance operations.
What You’ll Be DoingFinancial Accounting & Month-End Close
- Lead full month-end and year-end close activities for the US entity in SAP (R/3)
- Post accruals, prepayments, deferred costs, and income adjustments
- Perform FX valuations and closing-rate balance translations
- Manage local GAAP adjustments in the parallel ledger
- Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations across all GL accounts
- Execute year-end balance sheet carry-forward activities
Group Reporting & Consolidation
- Prepare and upload monthly reporting packages into IDL
- Ensure reporting compliance with the Group Accounting Manual and Swiss GAAP FER
- Support group consolidation processes with accurate financial submissions
Statutory Reporting & Audit
- Prepare statutory financial statements under US GAAP
- Act as key contact for external auditors
- Produce audit schedules and manage audit queries efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting and regulatory requirements
Tax & Compliance
- Coordinate corporate tax accrual calculations with external tax consultants
- Support deferred tax accounting and statutory disclosures
- Provide data for VAT, Sales Tax, and indirect tax returns
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and group accounting policies
Operational Accounting Oversight
- Partner with AP and AR teams to ensure posting accuracy
- Support bad debt provisioning
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations
- Manage lease accounting and Right-of-Use assets under ASC 842
- Post payroll journals and payroll-related accruals
Intercompany Accounting
- Raise and manage intercompany invoices
- Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure accurate elimination-ready intercompany reporting
Analysis & Reporting
- Deliver financial analysis and management reporting
- Provide variance analysis against budget and prior periods
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
What We’re Looking ForQualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
- US-recognised qualification (CPA) is advantageous
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in financial accounting
- Experience managing accounting for one or more legal entities
- Strong experience working with US entities and US GAAP reporting
- Experience with tax compliance and statutory reporting preferred
- Exposure to IFRS, Swiss GAAP FER, or other parallel accounting frameworks is a plus
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with SAP FI/CO (R/3 or S/4) or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Power BI experience desirable
