The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Customer Service Coordinator to join our UK team. You'll be the point of contact for customers and suppliers, managing bookings, quotes, and day-to-day communications that keep shipments moving smoothly. This is a hands-on, phone- and email-driven role suited to someone who thrives on accuracy and clear communication under time pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email in a professional, timely manner
- Prepare and issue accurate quotes for shipments, liaising with internal teams as needed
- Book shipments with carriers and suppliers, confirming details and documentation
- Make outbound calls to customers and suppliers to confirm bookings, chase updates, and resolve queries
- Maintain accurate records in internal systems (CRM/booking platforms)
- Monitor shipments and proactively update customers on status, delays, or issues
- Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements (dangerous goods, customs, etc.)
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate internal contact
- Build strong working relationships with regular clients and suppliers.
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail — accuracy matters, especially with regulated shipments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident and comfortable making outbound calls to customers and suppliers
- Experience in customer service, logistics, freight forwarding, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office / CRM systems
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with dangerous goods regulations is a plus, but full training will be provided.
