We are looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our busy and friendly team.
The successful candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, good diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and take pride in carrying out repairs and maintenance to a high standard. You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles while helping us maintain the level of service our customers expect.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 5:00pm
No weekend work.
Duties
- Carry out vehicle inspections and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Complete servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs.
- Carry out brake, suspension, steering, exhaust and other vehicle repairs.
- Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Identify additional work required and communicate findings clearly.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including parts and labour.
- Work alongside other technicians and workshop staff to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high professional standard.
- Follow workshop health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised working environment.
- Keep up to date with modern vehicle technology, diagnostic procedures and repair techniques.
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or similar automotive role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle faults.
- Experience with servicing, maintenance and general vehicle repairs.
- Confident using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Good problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a busy workshop team.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred.
