Overview
Join our busy restoration business as a Laundry Supervisor, where your leadership will ensure the seamless operation of our laundry services. The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality cleaning standards, and timely processing of linen, uniforms, and garments. The role includes supervising laundry staff, maintaining equipment, monitoring inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding and packing garments
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of laundry attendants and other laundry staff
- Lead and motivate laundry team members to achieve operational goals with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Ensure all laundry processes comply with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and coordinate timely replenishment to maintain smooth workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to promote safety and efficiency
- Train new staff on laundry procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure garments meet our high standards for cleanliness and presentation
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in laundry operations is highly preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of commercial laundry equipment operation and fabric care techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and other departments
