Duties
- Lead and coordinate the dental nursing team to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality patient care
- Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Manage infection control protocols rigorously, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Oversee patient preparation, including explaining procedures, managing anxiety, and ensuring comfort throughout treatment
- Maintain accurate clinical records, including treatment notes, consent forms, and inventory logs
- Support training and mentoring of junior staff and new team members to promote professional development
- Ensure the practice adheres to all legal and ethical standards related to dental nursing practices
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse with a strong understanding of clinical procedures and patient care standards
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a dental setting is highly desirable
- Certification in Dental Nursing (such as NEBDN or equivalent) is essential; additional qualifications in sedation or implant nursing are advantageous
- Familiarity with dental software systems for record keeping and appointment scheduling
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in clinical documentation and infection control procedures
