Job description - the role
As a Radiologist, you will be responsible for conducting non-destructive X-ray inspections of aerospace components, ensuring products meet stringent quality, safety and regulatory standards. Working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, you will follow approved inspection procedures while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, compliance and safety.
As a Radiologist you will:
- Report to the NDE Production Leader.
- Prioritise workload in line with the customers’ requirements.
- Interpretate and evaluate of indications.
- Complete inspection documentation as necessary including raising failed inspection and correction documentation operation of the Shop Floor Data Manager work booking system.
- Record work details and non-conformance, checking efficiency of the process.
- Work to the relevant Quality & Health, Safety & Environmental Procedures
- Undertake basic housekeeping tasks, including 5s activity. Involvement in Process Improvement activity.
what we require for the Radiologist position:
- Level 2 Radiographer (preferred but not essential)
- Aerospace experience in other Non-Destructive Testing Technique
- Good organisation and written communication skills
- Computer literate will be required to use various software applications.
- Team player with the energy and drive to succeed
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Customer, Quality and Delivery focused
