Justteachers are currently looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work within one of our partner primary schools in Grantham.
The school is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant for a September start, with the role continuing on a long-term supply basis until at least Christmas.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve success both academically and personally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and making a positive difference to their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience supporting children within a primary school environment
- Understanding of how to support pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting children
- Confidence in working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
- Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities
- Work alongside class teachers to implement learning strategies and interventions
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff as required
- Contribute to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
Pre-requisites:
- Relevant Teaching Assistant or Learning Support qualification desirable but not essential
- Recent and referenceable experience working with primary-aged children within the last two years
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their full potential
