About the role
Led by YMCA Derbyshire and supported by Derby City Council, Marketing Derby, Vaillant UK and other key partners, A Tale of Two Cities is an ambitious campaign bringing together businesses, communities and local stakeholders to improve outcomes for children and families in nurseries across Derby.
As the Tale of Two Cities Co-ordinator, you will play a vital role in developing partnerships, engaging supporters, recruiting donors and coordinating activities that help deliver real change for local children and families.
You will work closely with nurseries, campaign supporters and community partners to increase engagement and drive impact across the campaign's five key pillars:

Early literacy and reading

Healthy, nutritious food

Access to suitable clothing

Enriching experiences

Speech and language development
You will also support fundraising, volunteer programmes, events, communications and reporting activities, helping to strengthen the reach and long-term sustainability of this important initiative.
Driving licence and access to a car are essential.

We're looking for someone who is:

Passionate about improving outcomes for children and families

A confident relationship-builder who enjoys networking and partnership working

Experienced in community engagement, fundraising, donor stewardship or partnership development

Organised, proactive and able to coordinate multiple projects and events

Comfortable producing reports, maintaining records and monitoring performance against targets

Skilled at engaging businesses, volunteers, community groups and stakeholders

Committed to YMCA Derbyshire's values and mission
Knowledge of the early years sector and the challenges facing children and families would be advantageous.
