Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fish dishes or pizzas according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including fryers, ovens, and pizza ovens
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to customers when required
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on fish dishes or pizza preparation
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends if necessary
- Basic serving experience is advantageous but not essential
