Who Are We?
Nolan Seafoods is part of a fast-growing group of seafood companies including International Fish Canners, Nor-Sea Foods, D&G Nolan and J Charles Seafoods with operations in Aberdeen and Fraserburgh.
We produce a wide range of high-quality seafood products, primarily under private label, for customers around the world. Our core products include pelagic species such as mackerel, herring and sprats, alongside whitefish including haddock and whiting.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented QC Technician to join our Quality team in Aberdeen.
The Role
As a QC Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring that all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and meet customer specifications, legal requirements and company quality procedures. Working within a fast-paced seafood processing environment, you will help maintain product integrity, food safety and regulatory compliance throughout the production process.
Previous quality control experience within a food manufacturing environment would be advantageous, although full training would be provided for the right candidate.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality.
- Is able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Can work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Has strong communication and organisational skills.
- Is comfortable completing accurate paperwork and maintaining records.
- Understands food safety and quality systems, particularly HACCP (desirable).
- Has previous experience in food manufacturing or quality control (advantageous but not essential).
- Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and food safety.
