Role Overview:
This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry. As a Potwash/Kitchen Porter, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation in the kitchen. You will work closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to maintain a hygienic and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing & Potwashing: Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware to a high standard.
- General Kitchen Cleaning: Keep kitchen areas, floors, and surfaces clean and organized. Ensure waste is disposed of correctly.
- Supporting the Kitchen Team and Front of House: Assist kitchen staff and front of house as needed during service and communicate with both teams to ensure smooth running.
- Adhering to Health & Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Ideal Candidate:
- Availability: Must be available to work on Sunday daytime as compulsory.
- Occasional evenings, once every month or two also beneficial.
- Hardworking & Reliable: You should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be dependable.
- Team Player: You’ll be working closely with a small team, so being friendly, positive, and willing to help out is key.
- No Prior Experience Needed: This is an entry-level position, and we’re happy to train the right person, previous experience in similar role is beneficial but not a must. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are more important than prior experience.
- Attention to Detail: Cleanliness is essential, and you should take pride in maintaining high standards.
