We are on the lookout for a talented yard operative to join our growing organisation on a full-time basis. This role will be paramount in ensuring a smooth and easy loading and unloading process for all our customers and couriers we hold relationships with whilst continuously delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll be joining a team where you have the freedom to showcase your skills whilst taking on a hands-on approach, making the job role your own. In return, we are looking for an extremely organised individual who has a positive go-get it attitude and is able to bring new and innovative ideas to the table.
The Role
Loading and unloading vehicles
Picking and checking orders. (Heavy lifting will be involved)
Storing stock safely
Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment
Assisting customers
Clearing and maintaining the yard to ensure a tidy, safe, and efficient environment
Repairing broken pallets and re-stacking stock safely and securely
Performing routine checks on yard equipment and reporting any maintenance needs
Ensuring all walkways and workspaces are free from debris and hazards
Assisting with general yard duties
Any other related duties.
Paving knowledge is not required as we offer a full comprehensive training including forklift truck license.
About You!
Previous experience working within a yard/warehouse environment.
Highly motivated and the ability to work under tight deadlines
Happy to work in the evenings
Be a team player and happy to go the extra mile.
Happy to work outdoors in all weathers
Physically able do labor intensive roles
The confidence to take ownership and propose suitable solutions.
Good timekeeping and attitude towards work
The successful candidate will be well organised, effective, efficient and driven to grow their role within our forward-thinking and fast-growing company.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday - 07:00am to 17:00pm (1 hour unpaid break (2x 30 min)
Saturday (Rotating Shifts) - 08:00am to 14:00pm (30 min unpaid break (1x 30min)
Pay: £12.75-£13.25 per hour
