Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the weighing of vehicles and their loads at our facility, ensuring accurate measurements and compliance with all relevant regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the overall logistics process.
Responsibilities
- Operate the weighbridge system to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Record weight data and maintain accurate logs for all transactions.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements regarding weight limits and load specifications.
- Inspect vehicles for proper loading and safety compliance before allowing them to enter or exit the site.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions and addressing any queries they may have.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any discrepancies in weight records.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical skills for accurate data entry.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with drivers and team members.
- Work closely with operations and transport teams to ensure efficient collections and excellent customer service.
- Familiarity with weighbridge operations or similar equipment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. We're interested in attitude just as much as experience.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
