Job Title: Product Manager
Location: City of London – Cannon Street (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Line Manager: Senior Product Manager
Key Stakeholders: Tech, Product, Network Operations, Commercial
You'll own the product roadmap for your area, working closely with stakeholders and external partners to turn complex ambiguity into clear, actionable priorities with measurable impact on Osprey's business metrics. You'll partner closely with our Designer and Engineers, making sure what we build moves the needle and makes a real difference for our customers.
In a nutshell, you will:
-
Own the product roadmap for your area with every item tied to a clear outcome and a business case that stacks up.
- Champion the customer at every turn, grounding decisions in real data, real insight and real customer problems.
- Partner with design and engineers to take features from first spark of discovery all the way to live, making the trade-offs that keep momentum without hindering the experience.
- Run agile ceremonies with confidence (sprint planning, standups, retros), keeping the team focused, unblocked and always getting better.
- Define success metrics before a single line of code is written, be proud to shout about the impact when it lands and just as quick to share the learnings when it doesn't.
- Prioritise with conviction, saying no to good ideas so the team can say yes to the great ones.
- Dig up the issues nobody's spotted yet and turn them into a sharp, actionable plan.
- Collaborate across Tech, Commercial and Network Operations to align priorities and keep everyone in the loop, managing the asks from across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day:
-
Lead discovery, digging into the "why" behind every problem so the team always knows the purpose before a single sprint kicks off.
- Give context and clarity that give engineers and designers everything they need, without boxing in the solution.
- Live in the metrics, using data to make the calls: what to iterate, what to kill, what to double down on.
- Keep sprint ceremonies tight and purposeful, making sure the actions that move team productivity get prioritised, not just discussed.
- Spot blockers fast and clear them, solving what you can on your own, escalating fast when you can't.
- Work hand-in-hand with stakeholders, managing expectations, pulling in input and communicating roadmap decisions with total clarity.
Desirable Skills
-
You can point to real things you've shipped, explain the thinking behind them, and show the impact they made.
- You've made the hard trade-offs to hit the deadline and you can defend those calls with confidence.
- You run agile ceremonies with ease, keeping the team focused without ever being prescriptive.
- You set metrics upfront, track them relentlessly and let them drive your decisions.
- You're a self-starter: you spot problems and act, you don't wait to be told.
- You thrive on ambiguity, bringing a can-do energy and genuine satisfaction to turning chaos into clarity.
- You’re comfortable working across both software and hardware, finding the sweet spot where the two meet to deliver a seamless, integrated experience for our customers.
- What we're building at Osprey genuinely excites you.
Experience
-
3+ years in a product management role, ideally in a fast-moving tech or infrastructure business.
- A clear track record of shipping: you can talk about what you built, the decisions you made and the outcomes you drove.
- Experience making and communicating trade-offs under pressure to hit timelines without compromising quality.
- Comfortable running agile ceremonies and working in a sprint-based delivery environment.
- Strong analytical skills: you define metrics before you build and use data to guide decisions post-launch.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design and commercial stakeholders.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to bring structure to loosely defined problems.
Personal Characteristics
-
Outcome-obsessed: always asking "what's the metric, and did we move it?"
- A self-starter who takes ownership and delivers with clarity. Always happy to debate with others on the best solution to the outcome.
- Can-do by nature: energised by a challenge, never deterred by one.
- A clear, direct communicator who flexes effortlessly between engineers, execs and customers.
- A great collaborator but also happy to make the call when the data/research makes it clear.
- Growth-minded: curious, reflective and always pushing to make themselves and the team better.
