As a Painter & Decorator/Handyman at London Bridge Hotel, you will:
- To carry out all painting requirements of an unskilled and semi- skilled nature within the hotel, effectively and safely
- To assist with painting & decorating within company property
- To carry out painting & decorating snagging to corridors and public areas ones a week as necessary
- Manages and monitors all utilities to ensure that they are all working and operate in a cost-effective manner
- Communicates with hotel staff to become aware of maintenance needs and ensures timely response to requests e.g., room repairs, housekeeping equipment, etc.
- Ensures the execution of the hotel’s preventive maintenance programme (MQSA, Water testing-fire alarm & emergency lighting –A/C- electrical & painting) is carried out and all records are maintained
- Carry out a lamp check in all corridors and public areas at the beginning and end of the shift, and resolve any defect
- Ensure that basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, A/C and any other maintenance requirement (snagging) within your capabilities are carried out safely
- Adopts safe working practices at all times, ensuring own safety as well as all others in and around the hotel in line with the Health and Safety at work Act 1974
- Proactively anticipates work that needs to be carried out at the hotel (via regular checks etc.)
- Ensures that any maintenance work on rooms / utilities, where reasonably practical is carried out when hotel is operating at low occupancy
