Overview
We are seeking a experienced, dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our Team at Carling Dental.
The ideal candidate will have a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. This position requires excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a strong commitment to patient wellbeing.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide exceptional patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients to enhance their experience.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, maintaining inventory of dental supplies, and managing laboratory requests.
- Support the dental team in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both patients and staff.
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling software efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of people, fostering a positive atmosphere within the practice.
The hours will be from 8.30am - 6pm Monday- Friday.
Ideal candidate will have experience in being a head/senior nurse.
