Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Car Breaker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dismantling vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring that parts are removed and organised appropriately. This role requires physical strength, mechanical understanding, and the ability to operate various hand and power tools. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in automotive dismantling and salvage operations.
Duties
- Dismantle vehicles systematically, removing parts such as engines, transmissions, and body panels with care and precision
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to disassemble vehicles safely
- Ensure all dismantling activities comply with health and safety regulations
- Organise removed parts for storage or resale purposes
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, disposing of waste materials responsibly
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning
Qualifications
- Prior experience of vehicle dismantling is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as spanners and sockets.
- Experience with power tools including socket guns, grinders, and abresive wheels is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness and stamina to work in a demanding environment
- A proactive attitude towards safety procedures and teamwork.
Preferred Experience
- Previous work in a vehicle dismantlers, breakers yard.
- Forklift licence is an advantage

Pay: £33,900.00 per year
