Job description
This is a fantastic opportunity for friendly, motivated individuals who genuinely enjoy customer service. We are a fast growing company; running multiple bars and a restaurant, as well as keeping up with a busy events calendar.
There are a variety of vacancies, ranging from a shift or two a week to 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work across all areas of the business i.e. bar, waiting and eventing. However someone who excels in one of these would be considered.

At the heart of Sunderland’s growing cultural quarter, the Fire Station & Dun Cow, our multi-venue site, serves both new the Fire Station Auditorium and the neighbouring famous Sunderland Empire.
We are recruiting for Part Time Bar / Floor Staff to deliver exceptional standards and service to our customers at the The Fire Station. In this position, you will be customer-facing, helping to give the venue its personality. You must be passionate about delivering a fantastic experience for our customers and be willing to go the extra mile. Our extensive food and drink offering is the reason our customers come to us and our team will help to showcase this with passion and knowledge as your progress in the role.
Role Description
- Ensure Culture Quarter standards are consistently met.
- Ensure customers have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
- Helping deliver a fantastic food and drinks offer.
- Ensure opening up/closing down procedures are followed under the supervision of line management.
- Playing an active role in supporting the team to ensure Culture Quarter succeeds in meeting its aims and values and delivers exceptional hospitality across all Culture Quarter venues.
Person Specification
- Experience within the hospitality industry is advantageous
- A passion for quality food and drink
- Flexible approach to work
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Time Management Skills
