Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems across various commercial and residential properties. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction, mechanical knowledge, or equipment repair to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The position requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
We are looking for an installer who has their own van, tools and is self employed - in return we can offer you regular work at a good rate of pay starting from £350 per day.
Weekly / Monthly payments to be discussed
We cover Essex areas.
Responsibilities
- Install air conditioning units in accordance with manufacturer specifications and schematics
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement and system requirements
- Assemble and connect components, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing systems to ensure longevity and performance
- Repair or replace faulty equipment, adhering to safety standards and technical guidelines
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for installation projects
- Lead small teams during installation projects when required, providing guidance and support
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise or guide junior team members when necessary
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems, including installation, servicing, and repair techniques
- Construction experience is advantageous for understanding building frameworks and integration processes
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precise installations
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- FGAS Registered
- Non sign written van
- Own van and tools
