Responsibilities
- Organize and lead a variety of age-appropriate games, activities, and creative projects that promote social interaction and physical activity.
- Support children's emotional well-being by providing attentive supervision and encouragement during play.
- Assist with the daily care routines including snack times, rest periods, and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with team members to plan engaging programs that cater to diverse interests and developmental needs.
- Maintain a safe environment by monitoring play areas, conducting safety checks, and enforcing rules consistently.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
- Support children with special needs or additional requirements by adapting activities as necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare, nannying, or teaching roles that involve working closely with children.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and age-specific activity planning.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus for bilingual environments.
- Ability to drive safely and confidently to transport children or support off-site activities when needed.
- Demonstrated patience, creativity, and enthusiasm in engaging children during play.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to childcare settings.
- Flexibility to adapt activities based on children's interests and developmental stages.
- Desired Level 3 qualified in Early years or Playworker
- Desired First aider
