We are looking for an experienced Security / Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day security and operational activities on a busy construction site. This is a hands-on role that combines security responsibilities with the supervision of the site's support workforce.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the labourers, lift operator, and cleaner, while acting as the main point of contact between the client, contractors, and on-site teams. You will ensure the site remains safe, secure, clean, and operating efficiently at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the on-site labourers, lift operator, and cleaner, ensuring all duties are completed to a high standard.
- Carry out regular security duties, including access control, site patrols, visitor management, and incident reporting.
- Act as the main point of contact between the client, contractors, security team, and site operatives.
- Receive instructions from the client and coordinate the daily workload of the labourers, lift operator, and cleaner.
- Ensure all client requests, tasks, and site requirements are completed efficiently and on time.
- Oversee bin collections, waste management areas, and general site housekeeping.
- Coordinate contractor access and liaise with site management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Monitor the attendance, performance, and conduct of the labourers, lift operator, and cleaner.
- Ensure all personnel comply with site rules, health & safety procedures, and client requirements.
- Complete daily reports, incident reports, and management updates.
- Escalate any issues, incidents, or concerns to management promptly.
- Lead by example through professionalism, punctuality, and excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence (Essential).
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within security or construction.
- Experience managing site operatives such as labourers, cleaners, or other support staff.
- CSCS Card is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Professional, reliable, and highly presentable.
- Good understanding of construction site operations and health & safety.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
