We are seeking a reliable and dedicated person to join our team as a collection & delivery driver. Working in our busy car & commercial vehicle bodyshop the ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection of damaged vehicles prior to repairs and delivery of completed vehicles. Carrying out light recovery of non driveable vehicles, using our dedicated recovery units. When not carrying out collection and delivery duties, other responsibilities may include light workshop duties.
This role requires a strong commitment to customer service. If you have experience in commercial driving or recovery we would love to hear from you.
Duties
- Collection and delivery of vehicles.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding deliveries.
- Complete required paperwork and carry out vehicle damage checks.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Work with other department members to ensure smooth operations.
- Workshop duties.
Skills
- Proven experience as a collection / delivery delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Clean, Class One or Two driving license, a Class One license would be an advantage.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
