Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service. A background in commercial driving is highly desirable, but not essential. Nights Out will be required.
Duties
- Operate a curtainside lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on commercial driving.
- Proficient in operating commercial vehicles, with a solid understanding of load securing techniques.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
