Warehouse Operative
We are looking for another employee to work at our site in Southwater, Horsham - as a small company that is growing its an exciting time to join us. Experience in working within the busy environments of a stock and dispatch warehouse is of advantage but full training on products, procedures and systems will be provided. The day can go from relaxed to hectic at times, as the workload can quickly change depending on the amount of stock and orders received therefore a flexible, focused and hands-on approach is of benefit.
Interviews will be held at our current warehouse location in Southwater.
Responsibilities:
- Picking orders
- Labelling with correct dispatch information and packing orders
- Checking of goods and placing on warehouse racking using a reach forklift
- Maintaining order and cleanliness of warehouse
- Loading/dispatching
- Team player
- Receive incoming stock and checking the items match the delivery note
- Process the stock and input data onto the system
- Assisting in the set up/break down of exhibition stands in London and internationally
- Delivery days around London - Previous driving experience of transit size vans is an advantage
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
- Live close to Southwater.
- Organization and time-keeping skills
- Ability to use own initiative in situations
- Attentive and strong attention to detail
- Good written and spoken English
You will be working within a busy warehouse environment, we are looking for reliable, punctual, physically fit candidates that are able to adapt to new processes and procedures whilst working to tight deadlines and meeting target dispatches. You will need to have the ability to work unsupervised, using your own initiative but also the ability to work as part of a team.
- This is a permanent contract position with a 6-month trial period
- Normal hours of work are 37.5 per week, to be worked 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday with a 60 minute unpaid break each day
