About the Company
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established aggregates and quarry operation based in Whittlesey, Peterborough. Due to continued growth and increased workload, they are looking to add an experienced Telehandler Operator to their afternoon shift team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Telehandler Operator to join a busy aggregates yard and quarry environment. You will be responsible for the safe movement of materials, loading duties, and supporting daily site operations.
Candidates with additional plant tickets such as 360 Excavator or Loading Shovel will be highly desirable and may have opportunities to support wider site operations.
Shift Pattern & Hours

Monday to Friday (Rotating Shifts)

5:45am – 2:15pm (Week 1)

2:00pm – 10:30pm (Week 2)

Optional overtime available

Key Duties & Responsibilities
-
Operating a Telehandler safely and efficiently within the aggregates yard and quarry
-
Loading and unloading materials and products
-
Moving stock and supporting production operations
-
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
-
Maintaining safe working practices at all times
-
Assisting with general yard duties when required
-
Supporting other plant operations where qualified to do so
Requirements
-
Valid Telehandler ticket (NPORS or CPCS ONLY)
-
Previous experience operating a Telehandler in a quarry, aggregates, construction, recycling, or similar environment
-
Good awareness of site health and safety procedures
-
Reliable and able to work independently

Additional tickets such as 360 Excavator or Loading Shovel are highly advantageous
