Job Summary
As Housekeeping Assistant, the post holder must be an efficient and effective member of the Housekeeping Team, maintaining the highest standards of hotel servicing, operational standards and customer focus. You will demonstrate a flexible approach to work whilst undertaking a range of routine and non-routine tasks. You must be responsible, conscientious, committed and well presented at all times, with the ability to work unsupervised, as well as part of a team. You will be responsible for the cleaning and servicing of guest bedrooms within the hotel and also undertake the proper and effective cleaning of all public interior and exterior areas and event and meeting rooms and back office areas.
The successful candidate will:
Have experience in housekeeping in a comparable hotel/accommodation property.
You must have housekeeping experience and be dedicated to the delivery of service excellence and effective communication with your team and customers.
Be fully up-to-date with all necessary fire evacuation and Health & Safety legislation. Be able to adapt your skills to meet the needs of our clients, delegates, guests and stakeholders.
Be courteous, knowledgeable, and professional with humility and grace, yet be confident and passionate about the work you perform.
As Housekeeping assistant, you will work part-time as required by the operation and usually a minimum of two 8 hour shifts per week. The usual hours of work are 7.00 am to 3.00 pm including weekends. You will need to be flexible with the days you are able to work.

Responsibilities
- Undertake effective bedroom cleaning and servicing
- Undertake public area cleaning duties ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Monitor the condition of rooms and facilities and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Greet guests warmly and uphold high standards of customer service
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations within the establishment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or hotel working in housekeeping and accommodation services.
- Experience of bedroom servicing and public area cleaning
- Strong customer service skills to handle all enquiries professionally.
- Effective communication skills with diverse guests and other staff.
- A genuine passion for providing excellent customer service in a hotel or similar environment is highly valued.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently and to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding performance by working on their own initiative and as part of a hospitality team
