Would you like to join a growing business where your experience is valued and your contribution genuinely matters?
This is a full-time, permanent Intruder Alarm & CCTV Engineer position, focused on the installation, servicing and maintenance of security systems for commercial and residential customers.
Working pattern & location
This is a hybrid role covering the M3 corridor and South Coast region, including areas such as Poole, Chichester and Basingstoke. The company's office is based near Southampton, although the majority of your time will be spent supporting customers across the region.

You'll receive:
- £28,000 - £35,000 basic salary, depending on experience
- Company vehicle
- Full-time, permanent employment
- Ongoing training and support
- The opportunity to work with recognised security brands and modern IP-based systems
No moving goalposts. No unrealistic expectations. Just a straightforward engineering role with the support you need to do it well.
What you'll actually be doing
You'll be involved in both installation and maintenance work across a range of security systems.
Your role will include:
- Installing, servicing and maintaining intruder alarm systems
- Installing, programming and supporting CCTV systems
- Fault finding and troubleshooting on customer sites
- Working with systems including Hikvision, Pyronix, Texecom and HKC
- Carrying out routine maintenance and system testing
- Completing the required documentation and alarm registrations
- Supporting customers and providing a professional service on-site
- Ordering or sourcing equipment when required through established internal processes
What we're looking for
Ideally, you'll:
- Have experience working with intruder alarms and/or CCTV systems
- Be comfortable carrying out installations, servicing and fault finding
- Understand modern IP-based security systems
- Have a full UK driving licence
- Be professional, reliable and customer-focused
- Be happy travelling throughout the territory
It would be useful if you've worked with Hikvision, Pyronix, Texecom or HKC systems, although engineers with experience on other alarm platforms will also be considered as product training can be provided. A background of around 12-18 months' experience or more would be ideal.
A bit about the environment
This is a business that understands good engineers are hard to find and wants to build a team for the long term.
You'll be joining an environment where:
- You're trusted to manage your work professionally
- Support is available when you need it
- Experience is valued over box-ticking
- The focus is on doing quality work rather than creating unnecessary pressure
- There is room to develop and grow as the business continues to expand
You'll be treated like an adult and given the freedom to get on with the job.
