Assistant Manager
Salary: £38,000–£42,000 per year
Eel Sushi is looking for an energetic, polished and commercially minded Assistant Manager to help lead our front-of-house team.
This is a key role for someone who loves hospitality, understands what excellent service looks like and can keep a busy restaurant running smoothly from open to close. You will work closely with the General Manager to lead the floor, develop the team and ensure every guest leaves wanting to come back.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the restaurant
- Leading service and setting the tone on the floor
- Delivering warm, knowledgeable and efficient guest experiences
- Coaching, motivating and developing the front-of-house team
- Managing opening and closing procedures, cashing up and daily checks
- Supporting rotas, staffing levels and team communication
- Managing guest feedback and resolving issues confidently and professionally
- Helping drive sales, service standards and operational performance
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and compliance
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager or strong Supervisor in a quality hospitality environment
- A natural, visible leader who enjoys being on the floor
- Confident service knowledge and excellent guest-facing skills
- Strong organisation, commercial awareness and attention to detail
- A calm, practical approach under pressure
- Someone who brings positive energy, accountability and a real team-first attitude
