Job Overview
We are seeking new operatives for our residential sites in Tunbridge Wells, including Handymen/Multitraders/General Labourers/Second Fix Carpenters to join our team in Tunbridge Wells. This role involves supporting various construction trades, requiring a proactive approach and a broad skill set.
Long term work available for the right candidates. Must be punctual, committed and proactive.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with carpentry, roofing, and general construction tasks as required
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks
- Assisting with general labour duties such as site clearance, material handling, and site organisation
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements
- Previous experience on residential building sites.
- Previous experience working in carpentry, roofing, drylining is preferable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely
- Ability to undertake physical labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills across multiple trades
- Valid relevant certifications or licences are a plus but not essential
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team environment
Pay: £15.00-£22.00 per hour
