Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. On a self employed basis, however the work will be daily o a full time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries.

its not multidrop its not cages, Possilebly 6 stops per day before returning to the base
Duties
- Operate a 18t lorry for the delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating a class 2 lorry.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.
