The Role
As a Trainee CAD Designer, you’ll support the production of high‑quality traffic management drawings and plans. You’ll work closely with our planning team, supervisors, and clients to to provide accurate, compliant designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce traffic management drawings using CAD software (full training provided)
- Assist with Swept Path Analysis and technical planning
- Interpret site information, utility plans, and client specifications
- Ensure all designs meet relevant legislation, safety standards, and local authority requirements
- Liaise with internal teams to support smooth project delivery
- Maintain accurate records and version control of drawings
- Contribute to continuous improvement of templates and design processes
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need prior CAD experience — just the right mindset and willingness to learn.
Essential
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good IT skills and ability to learn new software
- Logical thinker with strong problem‑solving ability
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Positive attitude and willingness to develop new skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
