Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented pharmacy professional to join our team as a Pharmacy Assistant. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, and providing excellent patient care. Duties
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare prescription labels and ensure correct medication packaging
- Provide support in managing patient records and maintaining confidentiality
- Offer guidance and information to patients regarding medication usage and safety
- Maintain stock levels, organise storage areas, and ensure the pharmacy complies with health and safety standards
- Support with administrative tasks such as data entry and inventory management
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment
Experience
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare setting is mandatory.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols is an advantage
- Strong commitment to patient care and confidentiality
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times
