Encocam Ltd is a successfully established world leader in the automotive safety industry. We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated Production Engineer to join our team.
Based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire we are a prominent manufacturer of crash test barriers and Anthropomorphic Test Devices (ATD’s). Cellbond is a leading supplier of vehicle crash test barriers and has been established for over 35 years! We supply most of the world’s demand for vehicle crash test barriers and are also involved in the development of the future versions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support projects from concept to completion.
- Liaise with the Production and Maintenance departments to understand and prioritise engineering support.
- Ensure new designs or modifications to existing equipment are verified and validated before hand over to production.
- Develop the ability to estimate project delivery dates ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed of progress.
- Produce technical drawings, reports and presentations for internal and external use (work instructions, job packs, etc).
- Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions that occur during production.
- Understand production processes and suggests ways to improve efficiency.
- Research and investigate technologies and processes to ensure that the Company remains aware of latest developments.
The ideal candidate will have experience of solving engineering challenges, an understanding of general manufacturing techniques and engineering materials, good CAD (preferably Solidworks) skills needed for the preparation of manufacturing drawings and document control, and also be analytical and strategic whilst handling time pressures to meet deadlines.
