Salary: £33,376 - £40,677 per annum

Are you an experienced CNC Programmer with Heidenhain control experience looking for a permanent role where your machining knowledge will be valued?
Based in West Heslerton, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering manufacturer producing high-quality precision components within a clean, organised and professional workshop.
For this position, previous experience working with Heidenhain controls is essential. You do not need to be an expert in every programming language or control system. If you are confident using Heidenhain controls and have a solid CNC machining background, we would be keen to speak with you.
What you'll be doing
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machinery using Heidenhain controls.
- Creating and editing CNC programmes to produce precision-engineered components.
- Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Selecting appropriate tooling, speeds and feeds for machining operations.
- Producing components accurately and efficiently to required tolerances.
- Inspecting your own work and maintaining high quality standards.
- Identifying opportunities to improve machining processes, cycle times and efficiency.
- Maintaining a safe, organised and professional working environment.
What we're looking forThe key requirement for this position is hands-on experience using Heidenhain controls.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience programming and/or editing CNC programmes using Heidenhain controls - essential.
- Experience within CNC milling or precision machining.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A good understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds and machining processes.
- Experience producing components to tight tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of an experienced engineering team.
G & M Code knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
Experience with other controls or programming software such as Fanuc, Haas or Fusion 360 would also be beneficial, but Heidenhain experience is the main requirement for this role.
